Category
Two XLS models sit in this fleet with an identical cabin: 222 in long, 66 in wide, 68.1 in high, eight seats, 90 cu ft of baggage across eight bags. The XLS+ separates itself on two counts. Cessna still builds it, where the XLS has ended production — which for a charterer means younger airframes and a supply that is not fixed — and it is the quicker of the two at 441 kt against 431. The XLS answers back with range: 1,796 nm to the XLS+'s 1,720.
That cabin is worth naming precisely because it is unusual for the category. At 68.1 in the two XLS models are the tallest light jets we charter, and at 66 in across they are wider than every aircraft here except the PC-24. The XLS+ also carries a cabin attendant, which no CJ or Learjet in this class does. Takeoff is 3,560 ft. Specified for eight passengers on a sector of two to three hours who expect a service standard the category does not usually stretch to, this is the light jet that behaves most like the class above it.
