At 472 kt the Lineage 1000 is the quickest of the six VIP airliners we charter, ahead of the ACJ 320neo's 470 kt and the two Embraer regional airframes at 453 and 450. On a category whose aircraft are chosen for cabin rather than for pace, that margin is narrow but real, and it belongs to the aircraft with the most conventional business-jet lineage of the six. Range is 4,200 nm and the cabin runs 1,008 in — third longest in the fleet, behind the BBJ 737 Max and the ACJ 320neo.

Nineteen seats, a figure it shares with the Airbus 318 Elite rather than leading, and 443 cu ft of baggage. The cabin is 106 in wide and 78 in high: narrower and lower than the two Airbus airframes, wider and taller than the Embraer 135 and 145 that sit alongside it in this class. Takeoff is 6,344 ft. Production has ended. Between the six, the Lineage 1000 is the one that reads as a very large private jet rather than as an airliner reconfigured, and for a party of nineteen that distinction usually decides the booking.
