Citation CJ1

The CJ1 gets airborne in 3,080 ft, and nothing else in this category does it in less. That figure carries more weight here than it does elsewhere in the fleet, because runway data is complete for all fifteen light jets we charter rather than partial — this is a ranking against every aircraft in the class, not against the three that happen to have a number recorded. The PC-24 follows at 3,090 ft and the Phenom 300 at 3,138. Five seats, a 132 in cabin at 58 in across, 57.5 in of height, four bags.

Everything about the aircraft follows from that runway figure. It is the smallest cabin in the category, shared with the original Citation CJ, and it is specified when the airfield matters more than the cabin does — a short strip near the meeting, two or three passengers, a sector measured in tens of minutes rather than hours. Production has ended. A charterer who needs more room reads up the CJ ladder to the CJ2 and the CJ3; a charterer who needs the runway stops here, because within this class there is nothing shorter.
