The PC-12/47E leaves the ground in 2,600 ft. That is not merely the shortest takeoff among the four turboprops we charter; it is the shortest figure recorded against any aircraft in our fleet of sixty-five, and the margin below the jets is substantial — the shortest jet takeoff anywhere in the fleet is 3,080 ft. Runway length is what that number describes and the only thing it describes. It reaches 1,800 nm, the furthest of the four, and lands in 2,170 ft. Up to eight seats, a 203 in cabin, and top speed of 290 kt.
Those two figures at the extremes — the longest reach in the class and the shortest runway in the fleet — are what a charterer is actually buying. An airfield that a light jet has to route around is on the itinerary; a sector that would strain the rest of this class is comfortable. The cabin is 60 in wide and 57.9 in high, so a party of eight is seated rather than roomy, and the hold is 40 cu ft across four bags, the smallest of the four turboprops. This variant is no longer built. Where the airfield decides the trip and the cabin does not, nothing else we charter competes.
