Global 6000

The Global 6000 seats seventeen, and that number is the reason to charter it. A 519 in cabin gives those seventeen passengers something most aircraft in the class cannot: distinct zones that can be doing different things at the same time. A working group forward, a rest area aft, and a galley that supports both without anyone stepping over anyone. A long sector is rarely one activity, and the cabin is laid out as though that were the starting assumption. At 74 in of height the aircraft is walk-through end to end, and at 95 in of width two people pass each other without negotiating. For a delegation, a family travelling together, or a team that has to land ready to work, the 6000 is the Global to ask for by name.

Baggage capacity is where that flexibility shows most plainly: 195 cu ft and 20 bags, which is a ski party, a production crew's cases, or seventeen people's luggage for a fortnight. With the cabin full, service scales with it: catering is planned around seventeen people rather than a standard tray count, and the attendant works a cabin that is genuinely in use. The aircraft departs in 6,300 ft and lands in 2,800 ft, which keeps most business airports available even with the cabin full and the baggage compartment loaded. Configuration is the other half of the flexibility: the same 519 in can be set for a board meeting outbound and for rest on the return. Charterers come to the 6000 when the passenger list stopped fitting something smaller, and it is the rare aircraft that turns that into a non-issue rather than a compromise.
