Legacy 450

Embraer uses one cabin cross-section across three aircraft in this class — 82 in wide and 72 in high on the Legacy 450, the Legacy 500 and the Praetor 600 alike — and the 450 is where it arrives in the shortest package. Its cabin runs 288 in, against the 500's 328 in and the Praetor's 331 in. What that buys is not a smaller experience but a shorter one: the same width at the shoulder, the same clearance overhead, fewer feet of it. Baggage is 150 cu ft across ten bags, more hold than the cabin length alone would suggest, and it is often the specification that settles a booking in the 450's favour over a nominally larger aircraft.

Range is 2,904 nm and seating runs seven to nine, so the cabin genuinely reconfigures rather than simply losing chairs — seven across 288 in is a generous arrangement, nine a full one. Top speed is 462 kt. None of these figures leads the category and the aircraft does not need them to. The 450's argument is that it brings the Embraer cabin standard to charterers whose sectors do not call for the Praetor 600's range or the Legacy 500's twelve seats. Production has ended, and the type now sits in the market as the most accessible way into that cabin family.
