Descrizione

Gulfstream has two super midsize types in our fleet and only one of them is still being built. The G-280 is that one; the G-200 it followed is out of production, and the distinction is practical rather than sentimental — a current type carries a deeper support network behind it and a younger spread of airframes on the market. Range is 3,646 nm, second in this class behind the Praetor 600 alone and 946 nm beyond the Citation Latitude. Top speed is 482 kt. Those two figures together describe the aircraft's actual work: sectors that are long for the class, flown at a pace that keeps them inside a single working day.

The cabin measures 310 in long, 83 in wide and 72.8 in high, seats nine, and takes 120 cu ft of baggage across twelve bags. The height deserves naming because only the G-200 gives more of it in this class, and standing room on a five-hour sector is the difference between arriving loose and arriving stiff. Where the Praetor 600 spends its cabin on length, the G-280 spends its on cross-section, and a party of nine tends to register the second more immediately than the first. It is the super midsize to specify when the passengers already know the Gulfstream cabin and the sector does not justify moving up to a G-500.
